Project BOTS! August Edition.

I had a somewhat productive month.  Anything is better than last month.  Anyways, I have read two new books this month, and I'm eager to share them with you.  One sucked balls, one was epic.  When I tell you the names, figure out which is which.  I dare you.

"In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote, and "Mechanique: Tale of the Circus Tresaulti" by Genevieve Valentine.

The first was required reading (bleck) but I figured I'd put it on here, because it was new and it was read this month.  It was terrible, and it wasn't really random, but I felt bad that I forced my way through it, and I wanted SOME credit.

It was a book about some idiots who murdered a family, ran off to Mexico, squandered away their money, got arrested, tried, and executed.  Oops.  Spoilers.  Of course, the entire book is summarized on the back, so if you pick it up, you know that some people are gonna get the noose in the end.
No.  I wouldn't recommend it.

The second of these books was really good.  It was kinda disjointed, but I truly enjoyed it.  I couldn't pull away from it, and I ended up finishing it in two days(?).  I was surprised by it, considering the subject matter was not my usual cup o tea, but hey.  I loved it.  All of the foreshadowing was masterful, too.  Like Bird, she was just this bundle of foreshadowing.  My ONLY complaint is that the end was a little disappointing, as in I was truly disappointed in Bird and Stenos.  They just fell a little short of my expectations, since they made some wimpy decisions that made them seem extremely shallow.  The jerks.

I still have five days left in the month, so I may end up reading another book, "Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.  I've heard it's amazing.  Anyways, I'll update you on my life and such in a later post.  It's the new schoolyear, and I'm not entirely sure of how everything is gonna work right now.  I PROMISE that I will have some good books for September.  I PROMISE.

Until next time!  Adios!
