BOTS February
"The Name of the Wind" and "The Wise Man's Fear" by Patrick Rothfuss. I picked up the former on Valentines Day, and loved it so much I was forced to read its sequel or I'd kill someone. They were both fabulous, and I wasted much of my time binge reading them. They also take the cake for the longest books I've ever read. And in fourteen days? I am proud of myself for finishing the second book right on the last day of February.
The Name of the Wind is the first installment of the Kingkiller Chronicles, and is the best book I've ever read, ever. It had fantastic characters, a lively, fast paced plot, a truly realistic world that I'd actually want to live in, a sophisticated magic system, and a washed out hero narrating the whole thing. His name is Kvothe, and no, I don't know how to pronounce it. Does that concern me? No.
It begins with the main character working an inn, when a storyteller named Chronicler comes by and convinces Kvothe to spill his entire story out on paper. And what a story it is, too! I just wish that the third book would come out, and soon, so no one is in danger of bodily harm. I want more! MORE!
Soooo... That's the super-short summary of two super-long and fantastic books, and I HOPE that I get BOTS like them for March. Again, I'm eager for BOTS from you guys, so tell me of a good book, and I might read them! WOOHOOO
